Yeasayer's ODD BLOOD

How many times can I listen to this album? Yeasayer's latest, ODD BLOOD, is a rhythmic delight. Though frontloaded with it's hits coming in the first five tracks, this album could jumpstart your car if properly attached.

Starting off with the dark and mysterious "The Children," Yeasayer gets this album rolling brilliantly. Even at their live shows, this song starts things on an ominous tone that kicks into gear with its second track - "Ambling Alp."

Now, if you haven't seen it already, the music video for "Ambling Alp" is nothing like any other I have ever seen. See for yourself.



Following "Ambling Alp" is the harmonizing "Madder Red," an upbeat but heartbreaking "I Remember" and lastly the catchiest tune of them all, "O.N.E." You might find yourself only listening to tracks #2-#5 for days, if not weeks, but I assure you, those that follow are solid tunes as well. Personally, "Madder Red" is destroying my iTunes Top 25 Most Played credibility. Either way, I love it and this album although unbalanced from beginning to end is still a great sophomore album from Yeasayer.
